Extracting large clots from large vessels without the need for thrombolytics drugs.

PRESENTATION

• 66-Year-old male presented to Henry Ford Macomb ER with shortness of breath. Upon examination of CT, a saddle emboli was found, as well as Right upper and lower lobe clot.

PROCEDURE NOTES

• Access From the Right Femoral
• Dilated access site up to 22F to accommodate 24F GDS sheath
• A total of 8 aspirations with the FlowTriever T24 and T16 were performed
• Significant Clot was removed from the right lung and the saddle PE was removed

CASE RESULTS

•8 total aspirations with Triever 24 and 16
•Pressures went from 56/9/25 -> 30/11/17
•Significant Clot was Removed from the lung!
•Patient received an IVC filter and was sent home the next day
