Armando C. Madrazo, M.D.

Dr. Madrazo comes from a family of physicians. He has an older sister and brother-in-law who are both physicians, and their studies influenced him during his formative years, so much so that he decided to go into medicine himself. He started his career in medicine by going to medical school at the National University of Tucuman, Argentina. He completed his internship at the Detroit Medical Center's Harper and Grace Hospitals, and his internal medicine residency at Grace Hospital in Detroit. He then completed a fellowship in cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Madrazo was the chief instructor for interns in the Department of Medicine at Macomb Hospital for many years. He has served on many hospital committees and was chairman of the Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit at Macomb Hospital. He is currently a member of the board of trustees at St John Macomb Hospital in Warren Michigan. He has a special interest in the field of ultrasonography and has published articles in this field. He has lectured in many topics on the field of cardiology, and has obtained certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Vascular Technologist .He was instrumental in obtaining accreditation in Nuclear, Echocardiography and Vascular Imaging for the sterling Cardiovascular diagnostic and prevention Center as well as Echocardiography accreditation for the Cardiology department at St john Macomb hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Madrazo is a member of the American College of Cardiology (Fellow), Macomb Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society, and the Detroit Heart Club, among others.

Dr. Madrazo's approach to patients can be summed up as "compassion with science." He enjoys diagnosing medical conditions and seeing his patient's happiness when he can help solve problems using his scientific knowledge. At the same time, he understands that patients need and deserve compassion from their physicians, and works hard to provide it.

Dr. Madrazo has a son and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, especially to Europe and South America. He also enjoys movies and theater, and is a talented artist painting with oils, and enjoys playing golf.
